ISSUES

Jobs:  Protect our industry at home, create new opportunities and invest in the future of Michigan’s economy.

Health Care:  Provide access to affordable, quality health care, prescription drugs and preventive care. 

Education:  Fully fund public education, increase tuition assistance and provide vocational training.

Energy: We need to reduce our dependence on oil through increased efficiency and emphasis on renewable energy technologies.

Environment:  Enforce clean air and water standards; protect resources for agriculture, tourism, and recreational use.

Fiscal Responsibility and Accountability:  Close tax loopholes and make corporations pay larger share of the burden.

Iraq: We should be transferring power to a more international arrangement, more of a shared power structure.

Choice: The individual must retain ultimate choice over one's own body; the alternative is at best slavery.

Social Security: Privatizing social security will be a terrible mistake.

Veterans: Veterans need and deserve better access to medications and services.
